Welcome to Kerala
Kerala is a state in South India on the Malabar Coast. Spread over 38,863 km2 (15,005 sq mi), it is bordered by Karnataka to the north and northeast, Tamil Nadu to the east and south, and the Lakshadweep Sea to the west. With 33,387,677 inhabitants as per the 2011 Census, Kerala is the thirteenth-largest Indian state by population. It is divided into 14 districts with the capital being Thiruvananthapuram, which is the largest city in the state. Malayalam is the most widely spoken language and is also the official language of the state.
Kerala is situated on the tropical Malabar Coast of southwestern India, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Named as one of the ten paradises of the world by National Geographic Traveler, Kerala is famous especially for its ecotourism initiatives and beautiful backwaters. Its unique culture and traditions, coupled with its varied demography, have made Kerala one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The tourism industry is a major contributor to the state’s economy.

DAY 1 : ARRIVE KOCHI / MUNNAR
Arrival in Cochin Airport, our representative/driver would receive you. Then transfer to Munnar through the picturesque countryside viz Kothamagalam town, Neeriamgalam Bridge, Cheeyapara Waterfall and Valara Waterfall.
Munnar is surrounded by lush green tea estates and situated at the confluence of three mountain streams, this picturesque hill station boasts of exotic flora and fauna. Munnar is arguably the ideal starting point for exploring the unfathomable diversity and beauty of Kerala, and it is a hill station - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft. in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days.
On arrival check in to resort and relax.

DAY 2: MUNNAR
Morning after breakfast proceed for a sightseeing tour of Munnar, starting with the Mattupetty Dam (Boating is available and can be done on direct payment basis), Later proceed to visit Eravikulam National Park and tea factory museum, Kundala dam, Munnar Town and the town market after which we would drop you back at the hotel.

DAY 3: MUNNAR/THEKKADY
Morning after breakfast, check out and proceed to Thekkady (around 3 hrs. drive).
Thekkady, one of India's major wildlife sanctuaries, sprawled over an area of 777sq.kms is rich in varied flora and fauna. It is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations of tea, cardamom, pepper, cloves and cinnamon in the High Ranges and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks.
On arrival, check into the hotel. Afternoon proceed to visit the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary. Enjoy a boating through the lake in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to see the wildlife in close range. Elephants, wild boar, bison are the main attraction here.
Optional sightseeing (on direct payment) – Plantation tour, Elephant ride, Kalarippayattu show etc.
Later transfer back to resort and overnight stay.
DAY 4: THEKKADY / ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT)
After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel in Thekkady Afterwards proceed to Alleppey known as the ‘Venice of the East’. Alleppey is well known for backwaters and houseboat
On reaching Alleppey check in to the hotel / resort. Option for a short boat cruise through the back waters (on direct payment). In the evening visit the Alappuzha beach and enjoy the sunset.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 5: ALLEPPEY / COCHI
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to the commercial capital and the largest cosmopolitan city of Kerala, Cochin also known as Ernakulam. With one of the finest harbors on the Arabian Sea coast. Evening coffee can be sipped at Fort Kochi where you could see Chinese fishing net, local fish market. Some handicrafts, perfumes etc. can also be bought here. If you’re interested, there are some very ancient monuments available that’s worth a visit.
Evening transfer back to hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 6: KOCHI DEPARTURE
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to airport for your return flight.
