Welcome to Sikkim
Sikkim is a state in Northeast India. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region in the north and northeast, Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west and the Indian state of West Bengal in the south. Sikkim is also located close to India’s Siliguri Corridor near Bangladesh. Sikkim is the least populous and second smallest among the Indian states. A part of the Eastern Himalaya, Sikkim is notable for its biodiversity, including alpine and subtropical climates, as well as being a host to Kanchenjunga, the highest peak in India and third highest on Earth. Sikkim’s capital and largest city is Gangtok. Almost 35% of the state is covered by the Khangchendzonga National Park.

DAY 1: BAGDOGRA AIRPORT - DARJEELING
Meet & Greet on arrival at Bagdogra Airport & transfer to Darjeeling is a lovely Victorian town nestled among the rolling mountains with the sightseeing Mt. Kanchenjunga towering over the azure sky and is rightly called “Queen of the hills”. On arrival check in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 2: DARJEELING
Early morning (at 4.00 am), drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga (28208 ft. world’s Third Highest Peak). On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After Breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological park (closed Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Thursday), Tea Garden (outer view) and Japanese Temple. Evening Free (walking tour of mail – suggested). Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 3: KALIMPONG
After breakfast transfer to Kalimpong, were on arrival check in to your hotel. Kalimpong in local dialect means “black spur”. As per the Lepchas, Kalimpong means ‘Ridge where we play’. It is said that these local tribesmen used to organise field sports when not engaged in agricultural pursuit. After lunch, enjoy half-day tour of Kalimpong. Visit Delo Hills, Dr. Graham’s House and Flower Nurseries. Overnight stay at hotel. Darjeeling to Kalimpong.
DAY 4: KALIMPONG – GANGTOK & SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast proceed for picturesque drive to Gangtok – “The Capital City of Sikkim”. On arrival check in to your hotel. After lunch proceed for a city tour visit Rumtek Monastery, institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Do-dul-Chorten, Flower Exhibition centre etc. overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5: GANGTOK
Start for half day trip of Tsomgo Lake (12400 ft.), 34 km from Gangtok city & Baba Harbhajan Singh memorial. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter and is much revered by the locals. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 6: GANGTOK – BAGDOGRA AIRPORT
Morning free for packing & personal activities. Check out from the hotel on time to catch your flight for onward journey.
